My friends and I had an exceptional long weekend at Newton Hall. The location is ideal, tucked away by the loch and a gentle stroll from Inveraray town.
The surrounding hills are beautiful and perfect for walks. The B&B itself is impeccable, and I had the most refreshing couple nights' sleep. But most of all,
it was Bill and Janice's warmth and hospitality (not to mention delightful cooking!) that made this trip so lovely - we look forward to coming back soon!
This is a great B&B. Located right on the loch and just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of town and with easy, convenient parking to the rear in which to unpack cases etc...
Nice, friendly greeting from the owners on arrival. Bill was an excellent host and his wife Janice advised that if anything wasn't up to scratch - let her know and she would rectify. Fortunately, everything was perfect.
Our room 'Iona' has superb views over the loch. The bed was very comfortable and the entire place was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was superb. If you visit the area, this is a great choice to spend the night. Top marks!
“Wonderful Location and Hospitality”
My husband and I spent one night hosted by Janice & Bill at their beautiful, warm and welcoming B&B. They are truly a lovely couple who made our time in Inveraray fantastic. Our room overlooked the Loch, and breakfast was delicious.
Bill shared the secret to making perfect porridge! You will have to visit them to find out for yourself. We loved the town and the people we met along the way.
And a special shout out to the local gentleman who resembles Ernest Hemingway and was kind enough to approach us when he saw that we were lost, and directed us to Bill and Janice. We will return one day soon.
By far the best B&B we have ever stayed in! We stayed in a 4 start hotel in Inverness the night before and it didn't come close to Newton Hall Guest House.
We couldn't fault it in the least. Beautiful decor, perfect location, yummy breakfast and owned by a lovely couple who are most welcoming and helpful.
If you are visiting Inveraray then this is definitely the place to stay! 5 stars!
Five years ago Newton Hall underwent major restoration and refurbishment, and provides luxury accommodation to complement its prime, stunning location on the edge of Loch Fyne.
Our seven bedrooms and en-suites are individually and beautifully furnished and decorated with particular care taken to reflect the original features of the Victorian church whilst reflecting the more contemporary feel to some of the converted rooms.
We are minutes walking distance from Inveraray town centre which is one of the prettiest and most interesting towns on the west coast of Scotland and makes a perfect base for exploring this magical part of the country.
